We believe…
- The Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16-17); to be inerrant in the original writings.
- In one God, who is Creator of all (Deuteronomy 6:4; Colossians 1:16); who has revealed Himself in three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16 -17; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
- In the virgin birth of Christ; born of the virgin Mary; fully God and fully man. His vicarious (substitutionary), atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 53:1-5; Romans 5: 8; Mark 16:19; Romans 8:34; Acts 1:10).
- Salvation is received by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone, (Romans 10:9-14).
- In the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which was initially evidenced on the Day of Pentecost with the speaking in foreign tongues (languages); which is the power that enables a believer to live holy by regeneration of the heart and mind; which illuminates the believer to understand God’s word. (Acts 2:4, 10:44-45; 1 Corinthians 2:9-12; Titus 3:5).
- In water baptism by immersion as a believer’s testimony to Christ and identification with Him as a born again believer. (Romans 6:4-5).
- In the second coming of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 24:30; Matthew 16:27; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16).
